Barnsley

"Twelve advanced level dressage horses in the first three generations, including five Grand Prix horses – and this stallion wants to follow in their footsteps. His gallop is perfectly balanced and steady. He has a spectacular trot and a relaxed, good walk."

With his magnificent appearance, his three absolutely outstanding basic gaits, and his ideal character, Barnsley was the talk of the town from his very first appearance at the licensing. He comes from the highly decorated Fackese mare line. On his lap of honor as champion stallion, he was celebrated with standing ovations by Oldenburg's breeders.

His sire Bonds was himself the champion stallion at the 2015 Oldenburg licensing. He competed successfully in advanced level dressage under Beatrice Hoffrogge and sired over 30 licensed sons.

The Brillantring mare Faszination produced the World Dressage Championships finalist (5yo) and Bundeschampionat bronze medalist (6yo) Galeria's Summerville OLD (by Sezuan)/Máté Garai/HUN, the two advanced level dressage horses Fleetwood Mac (by Fürst Romancier)/Mayke Liebregts and Florenz il Mio (by Fürst Romancier)/Alexandra Bimschas, as well as two medium level dressage horses.

The pedigree also includes the high performers Diamond Hit, Florencio I, Santander H, and Freiherr.

His granddam Frascaya produced the Grand Prix dressage horse Damon's Design (by Damon Hill)/Nancy Smith/USA and his full sister Damon's Fantasy/Kathy Priest/USA, who was successful up to Inter II level.

His third dam Francesca produced two licensed stallions and four Grand Prix dressage horses as well as other advanced level dressage horses when paired with Diamond Hit. Diamonit I/Nicole Wego-Engelmeyer and Diamonit II/Hartwig Burfeind were licensed and successful in Grand Prix competitions. Diamond's Diva/Jan Ebeling/USA and Diamontinus/Christoph Niemann competed in Grand Prix competitions.
