It was the year of Bon Courage. Ridden by Thomas Schulze, the model student competed in the final of the prestigious Nuremberg Burg Cup. He achieved no less than ten advanced level victories (some with scores above 76 percent), including victory in the Verden FRH Championship. Bon Courage is thus impressively continuing his career, which he started as a Hanoverian premium stallion, Hanoverian champion and vice-champion, and vice-Bundeschampion.
Bon Courage's 14 licensed sons include the Oldenburg champion stallion and €1.2 million top seller Bon Esprit and the Hanoverian premium stallion and stallion market leader Bon Ludwig. His athletic offspring are led by dressage horse World Championship finalist Atterupgaards Bernachi. Also successful in championships: the Brandenburg Champion Best Rubin and the Bavarian Champion Bon Jovi.
The Bon Courage daughter Ballerina was the winning mare at the Herwart von der Decken Show. Balvenie Gold was unbeatable in Saarland. His foals fetch top prices, such as Beautiful Lady, who was auctioned in Warendorf for €60,000, and Bombastic, who fetched €34,000 in Hanover.
Bon Courage is the paternal half-brother of our champion stallion Bellany via Bon Coeur.
The dam is a half-sister to the licensed and successful For You Only Du Riwan (by Fürstenball), who has competed at advanced level dressage competitions.
Rohdiamant, Ex Libris, and Figaro join the line in later generations.
