The list of quality stallions that have mated in Lodbergen is long...

 

At this point, we dedicate small portraits to the most famous of them: starting with the trademark stallion Rohdiamant and his equally influential full brother Royal Diamond, through the Grand Prix winner Don Gregory, the team vice European champion Glock's Romanov, and the winner of the Grand Prix, Gio Granno, and the EM team bronze winner Conterno Grande to the champion stallion Follow ME OLD, the Bundeschampion Finest Selection, the Vice Bundeschampion For Final OLD, the successful S-level Frascino and the Rubin Royal "nephew" De Royal.

The dam St.Pr./El.St. Grannuschka is a full sister to Gio Granno, who is internationally successful with Franke Sloothaak. She herself became the mother of four stallions. She produced our premium stallion, Vice Bundeschampion and under Ludger Beerbaum, Couleur Rubin, who was victorious in World Cup jumping and Grand Prix competitions, as well as his licensed full brother, premium stallion and showjumping state champion Couleur Rouge (both by Cordalmé) and the licensed and advanced level stallions Parcours successful Congress (by Cornet Obolensky).

Conterno Grande sired five licensed sons, of which Veyron/Mandy Goosen/GBR himself was successful up to 1.60 meters. Con Man JX/Geoff Billington/GBR and Une de L'otain/Harrie Smolders/NED stand out from his numerous offspring that have placed up to international 1.60 meter courses.

De Royal's dam St.Pr.St. Rumirella is the full sister of the stallion sextet of our Lodbergen main sire Rubin Royal OLD. Also worth mentioning are the Vice European Champion Glock's Romanov/Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED, the Grand Prix winner Rubin Action OLD/Stella Charlott Roth, Rumicello, placed up to Inter I, as well as Rubino Vincento and Rockefeller.


The Rudilore line also produced the licensed dressage stallions Don Chico, Schufro Hit, Sam and Let's Talk About as well as the show jumping stallions Gio Granno/Franke Sloothaak, Conterno Grande/Marco Kutscher and Couleur Rubin/Ludger Beerbaum, who was also stationed in Lodbergen during his lifetime .

Don Gregory

Don Gregory's career began at the Vorwerk stud farm in Cappeln. Paula Vorwerk discovered him together with three other talent scouts. However, he saw the light of day with Albert Siemer in Visbek, who out of the Grönwohldhof mare Granate von Graphit-Teil/T. has drawn. His full brother Don Graphite and his half brother Playboy (by Pik Bube I) were also licensed. The licensed Son Gregory (by Sandro Hit) descends from the full sister of Don Gregory and Don Graphite, Donna Lisa. The Granate-daughter Pandora (by Picasso) brought the mare Premiere in mating to her half-brother Don Gregory, who in turn became the mother of the licensed 30-day test winner Sir Gregory (by Sir Donnerhall I).

Don Gregory presented 13 licensed stallions, including the Oldenburg Champion Stallion, two-time Bundeschampion, dressage horse world champion and successful advanced level dressage rider Don Davidoff, as well as Day Dream, winner of the HLP and victorious up to Grand Prix. The Oldenburg Champion Mare Ferdonia (2002) is one of Don Gregory's state premium daughters. Don Charly, with Minna Telde in the fourth-placed Swedish European Dressage Team from Windsor/GBR, and Der Daimler, team gold winner at the European Dressage Juniors under Jonas Schmitz-Heinen, stand out from the offspring who are successful in sport.

Finest Selection OLD

Ancestry

 

Finest Selection OLD comes from the first crop of the champion stallion, state champion and S-winning Follow Me OLD, who was formerly based in Lodbergen. Through Lauries Crusador xx and the Trakehner Abglanz, he has valuable precious blood in his pedigree.
 

The dam St.Pr.St. Laetizia is a full sister to the licensed TC Lexus RDH, who was placed up to M* dressage level, and to Laudon, who was successful up to Inter I level.

 

The granddam Dubarry is a full sister to the British champion stallion and performance test winner Aldham Mill Dubloon, who placed with Rosemary Jean Gaffney at the 2011 Para-EM in Moorseele/BEL, and a half sister to the licensed Lago Casablanca (by Lauries Crusador xx).

Inheritance


Finest Selection OLD produced successful offspring right from his first crops. Finest Edition GMS won silver at the AWÖ dressage horse championships in Stadl-Paura/AUT. Follow My Dream won the qualification for the Oldenburg State Championships. Frontmann achieved series successes in tests for young riding horses. His daughter Sarina became reserve champion mare at the Oldenburg elite mare show.

Follow Me OLD

Ancestry

 

Follow Me OLD comes from the first crop of Fürstenball OLD, who himself was a record auction foal, champion stallion, winner of the main premium, Bundeschampion and already a victor at advanced level at the age of seven.


The mother, brilliant ring mare Cariana, produced the licensed San Piave (by Sunny-Boy) and three state premium mares. Follow Me OLD's half brother Salentino (by Sandro Hit) was placed in advanced level dressage tests. Bonito MZ (by Baccardi), from Follow Me OLD's half sister Moonlight Sun S (by Millennium), was licensed in January 2020 at the DSP licensing in Munich-Riem.

Follow Me OLD has three licensed sons, including the federal champion and Ib main premium winner Finest Selection OLD, who is stationed at the DLZ, and the premium stallion and main premium winner Follow Him's Schönweide. Six premium mares are on record. The first offspring are successful at advanced level, such as Only Follow Me FE under the saddle of Helen Langehanenberg.

Fiorella was Champion Mare of the 23rd Franz-Jet-Schäfer-Verband Mare Show and Reserve Champion of the DSP Mare Championships (3y.). His offspring start promising in sport for their age.

The sire Fürst Wilhelm, 2012 Oldenburg State Champion (6 years old) and victorious up to Inter I, fathered 13 licensed sons, including the State and Federal Champion Fürst William HC and the Mecklenburg Reserve Champion Stallion.


The dam Danzmusik is a half-sister to the licensed Desperados FRH (by De Niro), who won Olympic, World Championships and European Championships team gold under Kristina Bröring-Sprehe and was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2016.


The Celle state stud stallion Don Frederico Wolkenstein II, Matcho AA and Pik König (by Pik Ass xx) follow in the pedigree.

The full sister St.Pr./El.St. Grannuschka was the mother of four stallions. She produced our premium stallion, Vice Bundeschampion and under Ludger Beerbaum, Couleur Rubin, who was victorious in World Cup jumping and Grand Prix competitions, as well as his licensed full brother, premium stallion and showjumping state champion Couleur Rouge (both by Cordalmé) and the licensed and advanced level stallions Parcours successful Congress (by Cornet Obolensky).

 

In 2001, Harli Seifert was awarded the gold plaque for "special animal breeding achievements" for breeding the Gio Granno.

From only sporadic breeding use, Gio Granno provided horses for international course tasks with a high frequency.

The father Rubinstein founded his own dressage dynasty from Gestüt Vorwerk. Rubinstein himself was successful in the arena up to the Grand Prix class and was on the Olympic longlist for Germany.

 

The mother, El.St. Elektia V also produced the licensed Grand Prix stallion Royal Diamond, who was also stationed in Lodbergen.

From the more than 50 licensed sons ofstationed at Gestüt Vorwerk for a long timRohdiamant the champion stallions Ron William, Rhodon, Rosenberg and Romanov stand out. The latter, bred by Harli Seifert, became a VTV sports stallion in 2008 and won team silver at the European Championships in Herning/DEN under Hans Peter Minderhoud/NED in 2013. His full brother Rubin Royal OLD received the VTV dressage stallion award in 2007, also won the Oldenburg main premium, won Grand Prix dressage tests and is also used for breeding in Lodbergen.

More than 130 of Rohdiamant's offspring achieved successes in advanced level, such as the Olympic reservist Responsible OLD/Helen Langehanenberg or the World Cup-successful Eremo del Castegno/Valentina Truppa/ITA. Over 200 of his daughters received awards, including the champion mares Reine Seide in Oldenburg and Romanika in the Rhineland.

In 2010, Rohdiamant was ranked third in the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires, even ahead of his father Rubinstein.

Eight sons were licensed, of which Floggensee's Royal Dream and Royal Prinz/Lindsay Kellock/CAN were successful in advanced level dressage.
