The sire is the Vivaldi son Desperado, who was part of the European Championship silver team in Rotterdam/NED under Emmelie Scholtens/NED. The pair also recorded numerous victories and placings in the World Cup freestyle competitions in Mechelen/BEL, Amsterdam/NED, Lyon/FRA and Aarhus/DEN as well as victory in the CDI4* freestyle tour in Aachen. The HLP winner and Pavo Cup winner first covered for a season at the Lodbergen Dressage Horse Performance Center and then moved back to his Dutch homeland. He finished seventh and eighth at the World Breeding Dressage Championships for five and six-year-olds. His more than 20 licensed sons include Asgard's Ibiza, Next Level and Jack Sparrow. The first offspring are already successful at Grand Prix level themselves.

Vitalis' half-brother Red Velvet was also licensed in Ankum. The dam, Meggie May, was successful in medium (M**) level dressage competitions and was awarded the sport predicate.

The dam's sire El Capone, himself bred to high value via Jazz and the Trakehner Michelangelo, won silver twice at the Pavo Cup under Marieke van der Putten/NED, also won twice at the Dutch stallion shows, placed at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and was successful in the Small Tour.
 

The granddam was a champion mare in the Netherlands and was awarded the Elite and Sport predicates.

The great-granddam produced the medium level dressage horse United (by Havidoff).

The fourth dam, Holiday, produced the international eventing horse Del Piero (by Vittorio; CCI2*)/Warren Lamperd/AUS and the medium level dressage horse Raja (by Ferro).

The mare line 62, breeding family 386, also produced the licensed and Grand Prix-successful Inclusive (by Everdale)/Charlotte Fry/GBR and the licensed stallion Koning Albert (by Freeman VDL) as well as the St. Georges-successful Balou (by Sandreo)/Amanda Rijkeboer/NED, Bijou de Nena (by. Olivi)/Antal Oldenhof/NED and Fellow (by Wynton)/Iwan Mijnals/NED as well as the show jumpers Eligius (by Ustinov; 1.45 m jumping), Juggle Baraka (by Etoulon VDL; 1.45 m jumping), Eto'O Baraka (by Cardento; 1.40 m jumping) and Falco (by Catnos; 1.40 m jumping).
